A.   UNANG BAHAGI

The program starts with the Prayer sang by John Ernest Aranilla, member of the organization, followed by the singing of National Anthem who also led by him. That was a blessed and fresh start for a program. After that, Mr. Joshua Magracia, Board of Director of the said organization and serve as the Master Ceremony of the event, do the roll call of the participants and then followed by the heartwarming opening remarks/speech of the past OST-THG Inc. Chairperson in person by Mr. Kiven Wilmer P. Rayel. Emphasizing the importance of camaraderie, cooperation and connection inside and outside the organization. He also pointed out how OST-THG Inc. build such family-like connection for the youth.

 

          After the speech, the MC again steal the spotlight to introduce the speaker for a 2-hour talk. He introduces Mr. Gilbert E. Macarandang, Katuwang na Propesor sa Dibisyon ng Kasaysayan sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas, Los BaƱos, Manila.

 

          Mr. Macarandang talk about three (3) important things. One, how organization started. Two, what could be its future and three, what its direction after the pandemic. At first, he define an organization as a group that seeks to provide a solution to an existing problem or issue and/or to prevent and mitigate a potential threat, it has an objectives and purposes and , it eventually have conflicts due to political differences. He also emphasizes how organization will continue by citing the following, (a), It should have a continuous source of fund or support (b) It should have an active member (spirit of volunteerism, dedication, and loyalty to the organization) (c), Good Leadership over the organization and (d), it has an affiliation or connection over other organization with the same objectives.

         

          On the middle part of discussion, he brings up the important of the bridge, saying that it serves as a route of commerce and industry and, it is significant on development. She also emphasizes that this is a battle between development and preservation. “Wala silang paki sa preservation, puro nalang modernization” he said. While on the question-and-answer portion, he differentiates the heritage and history in order to answer the question that came from Ernest Aranilla. He said that Heritage (pamana) is a result/product of the history and involves several disciplines that can be pass on to the future generation while History (kasaysayan) is the records of the past. After the talk, Mr. Kevin Pabulayan, OST_THG Inc. current chairperson and Keissy Palma Rayel, past OST_THG Inc. chairperson gave certificate of appreciation to Mr. Gilbert Macarandang for lending his time and knowledge as a guest speaker at the organization year-end assembly.

                   

          Next is the one-hour talk of Mr. Jericho Pagana, senior member of OST-THG Inc. He tackles all about ordinances and resolution that aims to protect the declared national cultural heritage and even the ‘considered’ important. The one-hour discussion circled on the question “Sapat ba?”, pertaining to the said ordinance and resolution. The session fired up when some members starts to spit out their own opinion, beliefs and thought about the question. Giving assumptions that contradict one another making the session more fruitful and effective. After a long discussion, explanation and deliberation, the talks ended and the program proceed to the lunch break.

 

B.   IKALAWANG BAHAGI

 

          The second part was started with the creative and funny jingle/Christmas carols presentation OST-THG member, divided into three group. And due to some circumstances, the awarding for the members who caters and shows extraordinary love and activeness on their responsibility as a member of OST-THG. The certificate of recognition was awarded to Mr. Ernest Aranilla, John Jerick Fuertes, Angela Escosia, Mikaela Cuevas and Moira Balderamos. They receive certificate, gift certificate and token.

 

          Games and Raffle were initiated after the awarding. The participants were divided unto 4 groups, 2 groups have 6 members while the other 2 have 5. They are required to compete with 4 games and who will get the highest points will hail as the champion. After 3 hours of competition, the Group 2 was declared as the champion after garnering a total of 13 points, followed by group 1 with 12 points, next is group 4 with 11 points while the last is Group 3 with 9 points. The Champion received 500.00 pesos in cash, 2nd received 400.00 pesos in cash, 3rd received 300 pesos in cash while the 4th received 200 pesos in cash. On the other hand, the group of Ernest, Shirven, Jay Eric, and Kenneth won the Best Jingle/Christmas Carol Competition and receive 200.00 in cash.

 

On the last part of the program, the organization conduct an open-forum. Giving all the members the freedom to share their thought, beliefs and experience. Some of the member, share how they started to become a member and how this group make them feel that they can help. Also, they also stated how to group help them on self-development. Citing a different experience and looking back how it is started. And with the closing remarks and a group photo, the year end assembly and team building came into conclusion. Giving them a new experience to look back, again.
